Localization, Printer Proofs and White Box Copy

Some exciting updates today!

  • Final Files Submitted: We've been working with the manufacturer to get our final files synced up with their die line templates and other requirements. We received a white box copy and printed proofs for the game and reviewed them thoroughly. We've given the go-ahead to begin production! The manufacturer Whatz Games really did a great job with the sent materials. Pics are below :D
  • Holidays: I'll be heading to the east coast to spend time with my family over the holidays, so it may be a while until the next update. I'll still be moving the project along :)

As I mentioned, we received proofs from the printer as well as a white box copy of the game! I am really excited to share these with you. The white box copy is a box of blank components so we can check things like materials, measurements, how things fit, and so on. The proofs are so we can check coloring of the imagery in the game.

Below are step-by-step opening-the-box pictures of the white box copy:

The punchboard potion tiles (currently blank) feel awesome.

The middle gap of the tray came in a bit skinny, so we sent the manufacturer some adjustments (just a few millimeters for player convenience). This will help the punched out potions sit better side-by-side when stacked in the box. In other news with the punchboard, I'm happy to report that the punched out apothecary stations hook together nicely to form Apothecary Alley. The cards slot into them well, including sleeved cards.

On to the color proofs! The pictures below do NOT do them justice, which is why I'm not showing many of them :) They are really beautiful in-person.
