Hi guys. It's been a while since I've written, and I miss writing! I’ve been pretty stressed. Despite Masters of Mutanite feeling good at this point and gaining positive responses from playtesters, the project has been really challenging.
Since the last update, I've been in contact with the manufacturer regarding some small fixes to the Apotheca hard copy. We received a new hard copy, then gave them another round of feedback (among other small changes, potion corners are now rounded).
Wow, we’ve been busy. Knee Jerk is making its way through the review world, with a majority of great results so far. My favorite quote to date is from Board Game Corner: “I think you have a hit on your hands here.” We’ve been prepping a lot of content for the Kickstarter page: the project video, reward tiers, shipping prices, stretch goals, press/testimonials/reviews, etc.
Knee Jerk, our party game launching on Kickstarter in September, finally has streamlined content. This means that players won’t be challenged by seemingly impossible situations or weird grammar. It’s easy to say that now, but it was a difficult task.
If you're reading this, you can see from the website that my board game company now has a name: Knapsack Games! The name came after much internal debate, as well as help from you fine folks. Once I brainstormed about 30 unique names I liked, I thinned out the list and then posted a one-question survey on Twitter.
